Overview
Don’t forget about sleep! Strategies for SCI rehabilitation centres to identify and treat sleep apnoea.
Details
Sleep apnea is prevalent in spinal cord injury (SCI) and adversely impacts health and quality of life. However, few individuals receive diagnosis and treatment. SCI rehabilitation centres should screen for sleep apnea risk and provide accessible assessment and treatment pathways. This workshop features four SCI rehabilitation clinicians describing their comprehensive approaches to sleep apnea care. Participants will explore locally suitable care models for implementation in their rehabilitation services.
