Neuropathic pain treatment in SCI: emerging non-pharmacological strategies
Biography
Dr. Janneke Stolwijk is a rehabilitation physician at the Department of
Rehabilitation , Physiotherapy Science & Sport and an Associate
Professor at the UMC Utrecht and Center of Excellence for Rehabilitation Medicine Utrecht. She specializes in spinal cord injury
rehabilitationa and her research focuses on enhancing social
participation by addressing psychosocial issues and secondary
complications like pain, neurogenic bowel, and mood disorders.
She earned her PhD in 2009 and became an Associate Professor
at UMCU in 2024. She has supervised numerous (PhD) students
and medical residents, and (co)authored over 60 publications.
Dr. Stolwijk chairs DuFSCoS and is member of the Scientific &
Research Committee of ISCoS.
