Details
This interactive workshop explores the unique experiences of people with spinal cord injury/disorder (SCI/D) and their health care providers during perimenopause and menopause. Through expert insights, lived experience, and audience engagement, participants will examine care gaps, share strategies, discuss priorities, and explore many unanswered questions in clinical care from a woman first perspective. Furthermore, we will review the top ten research and care priorities for people with SCI and their healthcare providers, determined by a recent survey and consensus building workshop. Topics include symptom recognition, hormone therapy, sexual health, and building interdisciplinary approaches. Join us to advancepatient centered care in midlife for persons with SCI.
