Biography
Dr Ahmad Saif is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals Major Trauma Centre, specialising in spinal cord injury (SCI), neurorehabilitation, and major trauma. He leads the acute SCI in-reach service and holds regional leadership roles in neurosciences and trauma networks. His work focuses on improving SCI care pathways and early specialist rehabilitation. He is a recipient of the EBPRM Gold Award and the ISCoS Early Career Scholar Award (2025).
Dr Aoife Murray is a Dr Steeven’s Scholar undertaking a fellowship in Advanced Spasticity and Neurorehabilitation at the Oxford Centre of Enablement. She will complete Higher Specialty Training in Rehabilitation Medicine in Ireland in 2026. She holds an MSc in Healthcare Ethics and Law and an MD focused on innovation and telemedicine. She has contributed to award-winning healthcare innovation projects and has a strong interest in evidence-based neurorehabilitation and spasticity management.
Dr Anton Pick is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and former Clinical Lead at the Oxford Centre for Enablement. He established the UK’s first cryoneurolysis service for spasticity and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on impaired motor function and advancing interventional treatments for spasticity.
Dr Ève Boissonnault is an Assistant Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alberta, based at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. She trained at the Université de Montréal and completed advanced training in spasticity and neurorehabilitation. Her clinical and research work focuses on multimodal spasticity management, ultrasound assessment, and innovative treatment approaches.
Laura Bochkoltz is a specialist physiotherapist with over 30 years’ experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Based at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville, she leads on education and training. She has a strong interest in contracture prevention and early management to optimise long-term outcomes in SCI.
