ISCoS Emergencies Subcommittee and ASCoN Conference Emergencies Workshop
Details
This session will strengthen knowledge and capacity for spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation during humanitarian emergencies, including conflicts, disasters, extreme weather events, and mass displacement. Participants will be introduced to WHO frameworks, preparedness tools, Emergency Medical Team standards, and practical outcome measures. Drawing on regional experiences from Southeast Asia, the session will identify barriers and facilitators to SCI emergency response and support the development of practical actions for integrating rehabilitation into local and national emergency preparedness.
