Biography
Therese Ramström is an occupational therapist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and a researcher at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She has worked in spinal cord injury rehabilitation for over 20 years, specializing in upper limb rehabilitation for individuals with tetraplegia. In 2022, Therese earned her PhD with the dissertation, Rehabilitation and outcomes after spasticity-correcting surgery in the upper limb. Her ongoing research focuses on assessing reconstructive hand surgery including spasticity-correcting surgery, with a particular emphasis on patients' experiences and the treatment’s impact on their daily lives.

Ms Alyse Lennox

Biography
Alyse Lennox is a Senior Research Officer at BehaviourWorks Australia. She has 15 years of experience in health systems research and is passionate about improving patient experience across healthcare settings, using a behavioural approach. She specialises in evidence reviews, rapid review methodology and qualitative research and has worked on multiple projects in the spinal cord injury (SCI) space, including exploring experiences with secondary complications following SCI, implementation of a new bladder management model in the rehabilitation setting, and optimising the health and wellbeing of young males living with SCI. Alyse's work on simulation training to enable meaningful conversations with people living with SCI was published in the 2023 edition of Why Research Matters, published by the Spinal Research Institute. She is currently coordinating a trial implementing co-facilitation of therapy sessions by peer coaches in SCI rehabilitation. Alyse has experience in teaching and delivering behavioural science workshops in face-to-face and online delivery modes for a range of audiences in the higher education and government sectors. This includes teaching into BehaviourWorks Australia’s Masters Unit, ‘Understanding human behaviour to influence change’, which has been recognised for excellence by Monash University.

Biography
Dr Priya Iyer is a dedicated accredited practising dietitian and passionate researcher with a profound commitment to advancing nutritional care in spinal cord injury (SCI). With extensive clinical experience spanning over two decades, predominantly as a clinical lead within a leading spinal and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation facility in NSW for most of that time, Priya continues to actively pursue research in SCI nutrition. Priya's vision is to radically transform nutrition care and improve health outcomes for persons with SCI.
