Description: The ISCoS PT and OT Affiliated Delivery Groups will host a joint pre-conference workshop in Kuala Lumpur in October 2026, centred on the theme “From Function to Community Integration.” The morning programme provides a joint overview of functional expectations and rehabilitation, covering gait and functional mobility expectations in incomplete spinal cord injury, tetrahand surgery, and the link between injury level, AIS classification and SCIM scoring. Additional sessions address shoulder preservation, wheelchair positioning, and postural assessment. In the afternoon, the OT and PT tracks run in parallel. The OT sessions examine return to parenting, social participation, work and study reintegration, and assessment of the tetraplegic hand. The PT sessions focus on pain, interventions for muscle contraction, and core stability. The final joint sessions explore transcutaneous spinal stimulation and include a panel discussion on clinical experiences.
