Community opioid dispensing patterns in adults with spinal cord injury in Queensland, Australia: a retrospective data linkage study
Biography
Samantha has been involved in health services research since 2013 and is currently in the final stages of completing her PhD through the Queensland University of Technology. Her PhD is focused on establishing patterns of opioid use following spinal cord injury (SCI) for the Australian context. Samantha is a researcher with The Hopkins Centre, Griffith University, working on the Australian component of the International Spinal Cord Injury (InSCI) Community Survey.

Priority setting for Nutrition Research in people with Spinal Cord Injury: Round 2 - Ranking the top research priorities.
Biography
Dr. Shashivadan P. Hirani is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Behavioural Medicine at the School of Health and Medical Sciences, City St George’s, University of London. His academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Health Psychology from University College London, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from City, University of London.
Dr. Hirani has been actively involved in research related to spinal cord injury, particularly focusing on Nutrition and SCI. Recent work includes a Delphi study aimed at identifying top priorities for nutrition research in individuals with SCI. This international collaboration seeks to guide future research agendas by consulting health professionals across disciplines. And he has also contributed to the development of a nutrition dataset for the International Spinal Cord Society, using an eDelphi approach to standardize data collection in SCI nutrition research.
Utilising a variety of research designs and with international collaborations, Dr. Hirani has co-authored studies on the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and Infection and antibiotics use in SCI patients. His broader research interests include behavioural medicine, technology-enabled care, and the self-management of long-term conditions, which intersect with his SCI work through themes like patient empowerment, health behaviour change, and digital health interventions.

Biography
Thuvaraha Jeyakumaran is a Research Associate and Knowledge Mobilization Specialist at the Lawson Health Research Institute (Parkwood Institute, St. Joseph’s Health Care London). Her work focuses on spinal cord injury and neurological rehabilitation, with an emphasis on co-design, patient engagement, and translating research into practice to improve equitable care. She contributes to national initiatives aimed at implementation and quality improvement in rehab settings across Canada and has experience leading interest-holder engagement and knowledge mobilization efforts.

Biography
Nikhil Chowdhary is a junior research fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He completed his master's in physiotherapy (neurology) from the Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi. His research focuses on innovative, technology-driven approaches to neurorehabilitation in spinal cord injury.

Biography
Dr Nurul Amilin is a Medical Officer and Rehabilitation Medicine Trainee in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at University Malaya Medical Centre. Her clinical and research interest involves spinal cord injury rehabilitation. She is currently involved in research using Malaysian InSCI dataset to explore factors influencing functional outcomes in individuals with spinal cord injury.
