Biography

• Dr Gillean Hilton is an Occupational Therapist and Sector Coordinator Disability Liaison Officer program, Victoria, Australia. Gillean has worked in SCI rehabilitation and community settings since 2001, is secretary of the ISCoS committee for a Vocational Rehabilitation Core Data Set and currently leading the evaluation of an Australian implementation of a peer-led active rehabilitation program. • Dr Ellen Roels is a Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine specialized in spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation and currently employed at the University Medical Center Groningen, The Netherlands. She has over 20 years of clinical experience in SCI rehabilitation and has worked in different countries (Belgium, United Kingdom and the Netherlands). In 2022 she obtained a PhD titled ‘’Work Participation Following Spinal Cord Injury’’. • Dr. Reuben Escorpizo is a rehabilitation clinician scientist and academic with established work in the biopsychosocial framework of the WHO International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), methodology, and outcomes measurement. He completed his doctorate in physical therapy in 2008 and post-doctoral degree in 2014 specializing in outcome measurement and vocational rehabilitation. He is a leading figure in international efforts to investigate the biopsychosocial evaluation of functioning and disability using quantitative, classical psychometrics and item response theory, and qualitative approaches. • Professor James Middleton is Clinical Director of NSW State Spinal Cord Injury Service, and Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at The University of Sydney in Australia, with over 30 years of clinical and research experience. James is Past Chair of ISCoS External Relations Committee and remains Chair of its WHO-Liaison Subcommittee, working closely with the World Health Organization on various initiatives related to WHO Rehab 2030.
